The Sahara used to be my favorite hotel on the Strip because you could play $1 minimum craps with 5x odds and they offer excellent rates on their rooms. Unfortunately, they recently changed the structure of their craps game to a $5 minimum with 5x odds so I can't say it's my favorite anymore.
However, the Sahara Hotel and Casino is still worth a visit because they offer nice rooms at rates that are hard to beat anywhere else on the Strip or even Downtown. If you stay at the Sahara, request to stay in their newest tower because those rooms are a little nicer. Unfortunately, I haven't had an opportunity to stay in one of the suites.
Be sure to check out their Club Sahara membership. It's free and you'll be able to get special room rates, VIP check-in at registration and passes for shows and special events. I was able to make reservations for a room on a night that was sold out because of my membership.
