Alan Alberts doesn't look like much from the outside and it's hidden behind small stores in a strip mall. However, once inside, the intimate atmosphere, dark wood interior and small bar is comfortable and relaxing.
Unfortunately, the service and food was only average. I ordered the extra thick filet mignon with a peppercorn sauce. The sauce wasn't bad, but there wasn't anything special about it either. The steak itself was thick, but it wasn't very well marbled and just not a very good cut of meat. My wife ordered the crab legs and they were good.
We ordered a bottle of wine with our dinner and more than once, I had to refill my own glass because our waiter didn't visit our table very often. That doesn't happen very often at other comperably priced restaurants.
Our dinner and the service wasn't bad, but we expect more when we visit a restaurant in this price range.
