The Sirens of TI
Treasure Island Show Symbolizes New Era for Strip Resort
Release Date: April 16, 2004
Nothing epitomizes the energy and vibe of the new TI better than the resort’s recently launched show, The Sirens of TI. Playing four times nightly to packed crowds, the outside performance treats guests to an enticing combination of music, dance, excitement and seduction as a group of beautiful sirens battle with a band of renegade pirates in the newly christened Sirens’ Cove. Just as the sultry sirens seduce with their mesmerizing voices, the cool, contemporary offerings of the new TI lure visitors to experience this grown-up Caribbean getaway.
“In recent years we’ve created a number of experiences that energize TI and give visitors reason to return again and again,” said TI President Scott Sibella. “With the new battle, we have created a show that leaves everyone wanting more and finding it within our resort.”
The Sirens of TI begins with a 17 th century clash between a group of beautiful, tempting sirens and a band of renegade pirates. With their mesmerizing and powerful song the Sirens lure the pirates to their cove, stir up a tempest strong enough to sink a ship, and transform Sirens’ Cove into a 21 st century party for all to enjoy. From daring swordplay to high-diving acrobatics and eye-popping pyrotechnics, The Sirens of TI is packed with countless thrills.
To create the entertainment extravaganza, TI’s President Scott Sibella teamed up with Emmy Award-winning director and choreographer Kenny Ortega. In the hands of Mr. Ortega, the show was given a fresh flirty storyline and set to music scored by award-winning record producer and songwriter Emilio Estefan.
