Hollywood Theatre Announces Fall Line-Up
Tickets Now On Sale
Release Date: May 23, 2005

The Hollywood Theatre, an intimate 740-seat setting, attracts some of today’s top performers. This fall, the line-up features Tom Jones, David Copperfield, Howie Mandel, Carrot Top and Dennis Miller.

Tom Jones
Tom Jones, one of music’s most enduring personalities, will bring his legendary style back to the Hollywood Theatre August 11-24 and October 6-19.  Show times are 8:30 p.m. nightly.  Tickets are $70 inclusive.  For reservations call (702) 891-7777 or (800) 929-1111.

Jones, one of Hollywood Theatre’s regular performers, has been an industry icon for more than four decades.  The Welsh star first appeared on the entertainment scene in 1964 with what became one of his signature hits, “It’s Not Unusual.”  His career has also launched such hits as “What’s New Pussycat,” “She’s a Lady” and “Delilah.”  A tireless worker on stage, Jones has also made numerous television appearances on ABC, VH-1 and ITV Network in Great Britain.

David Copperfield
The greatest illusionist of our time, David Copperfield, returns to the Hollywood Theatre at MGM Grand August 25 through September 21.  Show times are 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.  There will be three shows on August 27 and on September 3, 4, 5, 10 and 17 at 4:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.. Tickets are $97 inclusive for all shows.  Reservations can be made by calling (702) 891-7777 or (800) 929-1111.

David Copperfield has elevated the art of magic and illusion to new heights. He has vanished the Statue of Liberty, walked through the Great Wall of China, flown through the air and made audience members disappear and reappear in places they would never expect.  In addition to network television events, worldwide tours and “Dreams and Nightmares”, the critically acclaimed Broadway show that set box office records, Copperfield’s approach to his venerable art has transformed the way the world looks at magic.

Howie Mandel
Howie Mandel, a multi-talented actor and comedian, will perform September 29 through October 5 and October 25 through November 9 in the Hollywood Theatre. Show time is 9 p.m. nightly.  The show will be dark October 3.  Tickets are $60 inclusive. For reservations call (702) 891-7777 or (800) 929-1111.

Mandel’s career has encompassed virtually every area of entertainment including television, film and stage.  He has steadily performed more than 200 concert dates a year, making him one of the most successful comedy stars today. He has starred in the award-winning NBC drama, “St. Elsewhere” and produced and created the Emmy Award-nominated children’s series “Bobby’s World”.  Mandel hosted “The Howie Mandel Show,” a daytime talk and variety show and will soon be featured in “Hidden Howie” on Bravo in August.

Carrot Top
The hilarious comedy of Carrot Top returns to the Hollywood Theatre September 22-28 and November 10-16.  Show time is 8:30 p.m. nightly. Tickets are $40 inclusive and can be purchased by calling (702) 891-7777 or (800) 929-1111.

Carrot Top has become one of the most recognizable names in the world of comedy.  It’s no wonder with his countless awards and the popularity of his “1-800-CALL-ATT” commercials. He has been named “Comedian of the Year,” “Best Male Stand-Up Comedian” and “Entertainer of the Year” through various readers’ polls and comedy associations. He has described himself as a mix of George Carlin (“observational humor”), Steven Wright (“dark, sick humor”) and Gallagher (“the props”). Whatever he is, he’s all Carrot Top – with his trademark mop of red hair and enough wit to be dubbed “the wackiest redhead since Lucy.”

Dennis Miller
Dennis Miller will bring his cerebral style of comedy to the Hollywood Theatre October 20-24.  Show time is 9 p.m. nightly with an additional 10:30 p.m. show on Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23. Tickets are $79 inclusive.  Reservations can be made by calling (702) 891-7777 or (800) 929-1111.

Called “one of the premier comedy acts in America today,” Miller is a five-time Emmy Award winner for his critically acclaimed half-hour, live talk show, “Dennis Miller Live,” which ended its very successful nine year run on HBO last year.  He has also received the same critical acclaim for his news talk show on MSNBC.  Miller has written four books that have all appeared on The New York Times best seller list including his most recent “The Rant Zone,” which was published in 2001.  He is known best for his irreverent delivery of the news on NBC’s Saturday Night Live” and last spring, he wrote and starred in the Emmy-nominated comedy special “The Raw Feed.”
