Legendary Grammy Award-winning band U2 returns to Las Vegas when they bring their Vertigo/2005 World Tour to the MGM Grand Garden Arena Friday, Nov. 4. The spectacular performance is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Tickets priced at $183.75, $99.75 and $51.98 (reserved seats and general admission floor), not including applicable service charges, go on sale Saturday, April 9 at 10 a.m. at the KÀ Theatre box office. Wristband distribution will begin at the MGM Grand Garden Arena box office Saturday, April 9 at 6 a.m. and end at 9 a.m. A random number will then be drawn and a line-up will be in sequential order beginning with the random number selected. Individuals must be 16 years of age to receive a wristband. Wristband guidelines will be provided at the on-sale and a wristband does not guarantee that a ticket can be purchased.

Current fan club subscribers of U2’s official website, www.U2.com, will have an opportunity to reserve tickets in advance beginning Tuesday, April 5 at 10 a.m. The pre-sale concludes Thursday, April 7 at 10 p.m.

The Vertigo/2005 World Tour began Monday, March 28 in San Diego and will visit 13 North American cities including Anaheim, LA, San Jose, Phoenix, Denver, Seattle, Vancouver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, East Rutherford and New York before heading to Europe this summer. U2 will perform a total of 28 sold-out shows.

U2 will perform 30 sold-out events in stadiums and arenas throughout Europe beginning Friday, June 10 in Brussels. Two additional shows include the UK and Dublin, where 160,000 tickets for the June 24/June 25 shows at Croke Park were purchased in less than 50 minutes, an Irish box office record. Records also were broken in Paris, where U2 sales surpassed 75,000 in less than one hour, and Vienna, where 55,000 tickets were sold in 74 minutes. These sellouts marked the fastest-ever sellout for a show at Stade de France and surpassed the previous Austrian event sales record. The European tour also will visit Germany, Poland, Holland, Switzerland, Italy, The Netherlands and Spain.

The Vertigo/2005 World Tour will return to North America for an additional 50 performances beginning Sept. 12 in Toronto. In New York, ticket demand resulted in seven soldout performances at Madison Square Garden. In Toronto and Boston, fans were quick to sweep up tickets for four performances in each city, respectively. The tour concludes Dec. 19 in Portland.

U2’s eleventh studio album, How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb on Island Records/Interscope Records, was released Nov. 22 and quickly became No. 1 in 25 countries. U2 has sold 130 million albums since releasing their first in 1980.

The band's manager, Paul McGuiness, confirmed the excitement and anticipation of additional tour dates, “We are really looking forward to this tour; the show looks and sounds fantastic and it is going to be a great year.”

The U2 Vertigo/2005 World Tour is presented and produced by The Next Adventure in association with MGM Grand, “The City of Entertainment.”
