SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS 4-D THRILL RIDE OPENS AT ADVENTUREDOME THEME PARK AT CIRCUS CIRCUS
Release Date: June 2, 2005

The Adventuredome Theme Park at Circus Circus debuts the new SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D Ride on June 2, 2005. Guests can enjoy this ride in the SimEx-Iwerks simulation theater located inside the theme park. The SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D Ride delivers a funny, fast-paced, underwater adventure based on Nickelodeon’s popular cartoon series.

The adventure begins with a five-minute pre-show video introducing SpongeBob and his friends. Guests then enter the simulation theater, filling 18 motion-based seats. Riders join SpongeBob as he embarks upon a new journey, frantically chasing a runaway pickle to create the perfect “crabby patty.” The nearly five-minute ride features SpongeBob and his nemesis, Plankton, battling for the pickle and the rights to the crabby delicacy through a series of zany underwater escapades.

Throughout the entire ride, guests experience new 4-D technology that has just been added to the SimEx-Iwerks Theater inside the Adventuredome. Included are water squirts, real bubbles, and vibration effects to the seats.

“With the popularity and success of SpongeBob, we’re very excited to include him in our theme park,” said Tom Nolan, Director of Adventuredome Operations. “SpongeBob’s appeal spans a wide audience from elementary school through high school students and adults. This is very consistent with the mix of rides that we keep in the park. It’s a great fit for us.”

The Adventuredome at Circus Circus Las aVegas is America’s largest indoor theme park featuring the world’s only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster, The Canyon Blaster. Enclosed under a 5-acre dome, The Adventuredome contains 24 rides and attractions and was ranked 11th in North America in theme park attendance in 2004. The Adventuredome has recently been named “Best Family Attraction” in the 2005 Las Vegas Review Journal Reader’s Poll.

Admission to the Adventuredome is free. An adult all day ride pass is $22.95, a junior all day ride pass is $14.95 and individual ride tickets range from $4 to $6. The Adventuredome is open daily from 10:00 a.m. For more information call 794-3939 or visit: Adventuredome
