Gallaghers Steakhouse Restaurant Review

We decided to visit Gallagher's Steakhouse at New York, New York Hotel and Casino at the last moment. From the outside, the restaurant is very inviting with prime cuts of meat hanging in the front window. Once inside, the atmosphere is pretty much what you would expect from a typical steakhouse. There are mostly tables with a few booths available.

We started dinner with the Chef's Soup of the Day which was crab chowder and it was absolutely delicious. As a matter of fact, it's almost worth visiting Gallagher's just for the crab chowder alone.

For the main course, my wife ordered the Ahi Tuna Steak. It was served very rare as expected, but it didn't have much flavor. It wasn't bad, but we expected a little more.

For my main course, I ordered the New York Sirloin Steak. I was told by our waiter that it was their signature house specialty and he highly recommended it. I ordered the Seasonal Mushroom Medley as a side dish. And while I enjoyed the meal, it just didn't reach the level of quality that I expected for the price you're paying.
